The State Comptroller in Oklahoma directs the daily operations of the Division of Central Accounting and Reporting. This, also called DCAR, helps to establish policies and procedures of financial transactions of the state. The comptroller's office makes sure that they agree with federal regulations and government standards. There are also units that perform different tasks, such as Transaction Processing Unit (audits and processes payments), and Financial Reporting Unit (prepares the Oklahoma financial report).
